Our intellectual property protects core mechanisms that enable smoother, quieter, more efficient motion. Each family links to a technical microsite when available.
The foundational patent for a CVT allowing ratio zero (infinitely variable ratio). Mechanically simple, compact and efficient, it allows smooth control across a wide ratio range. This technology enables precise and efficient power transmission for robotics, mobility, and industrial automation applications.
As the original implementation shows some cyclicity of the transmission ratio, in this variant elliptical gears counterbalance the effect to perfectly constant velocity. Other small adaptations such as the use of chains makes this version suited for low-torque, low-speed applications (e-bikes, scooters, and so on).
Another foundational patent, for a significantly different implementation of the "split rotation" concept. Simpler, more compact and able to manage higher torques, it will be the solution of choice for heavy-duty applications.
A transmission system based on a modified epyciclic gearing, with a fixed number of gears but tailored shifting points, offering some of the benefits of a full CVT at greatly reduced complexity and cost.
